Channel Islands

California Tree Mallow: Popular in gardens because it grows rapidly, resists drought, coastal spray and wind. Attractive to rodents. Grows naturally in sandy flats and rocky places.

Catalina Cherry: Fruit edible but more suitable for consumption by birds and other animals due to large pits.

We also have Island Snapdragons growing here and a Giant Choreopsis. We had an Island Bush Poppy, but the soil eroded away under the plant. We are not sure exactly what happened, but we will be replacing the plant.
