The two young women who created the newspaper wrote:

"Pressure was named partly because of the water fountain and the stress we received our senior year.

For the water fountain to get to its destination, there must be enough pressure exerted on it. Without the extra shove the water would remain motionless in a passive state. Like us, seniors, water needs direction to know where it is heading. If pressure wasn't exerted on the water to get from the top to the very bottom and back again it would not have worked.

Throughout our 13 years of schooling, pressure to do well has constantly haunted us. It pushes us. It pushes us to continue our journey of knowledge to reach our goals. Throughout this journey, we have come face to face with many obstacles, but we have overcome them. Now that we are towards the end of our high school years, we'll be starting all over again. The water will fall back to the bottom where its new journey will continue. Even more pressure is going to be placed upon us to determine the outcome of our next goals. Once we reach the top again, back we will fall where our next journey to another goal will begin."
